To advance our thinking, we take time to reflect. A key component of learning, the process of reflection promotes critical thinking and fosters the discovery of new ideas. In our work, we reflect with purpose and intent which leads to decisive action.
Our commitment to reflection demonstrates the pursuit of life-long learning in our daily work. If we do not continuously learn through reflection, how can we respond to the rapidly changing world around us?

"Reflecting on 20 Years of Learning with Our Museum Clients"
RK&A is celebrating its twentieth year. While all of us at RK&A spend our time working on projects with our museum partners, the essence of how we spend our time can be summarized into one powerful pursuit: learning. Through our work, we continually hone our evaluation practice, further clarify our thinking about how to best support museums in the twenty-first century, redefine our company’s purpose to integrate and leverage new learning, and adopt new ways of thinking and working in response to the fast-changing external world. Our intent is to do the best we can at any given moment and continually improve and learn. Our hope is that our personal and collective learning will positively affect our work with museums.
I founded RK&A because of my passion for museums and desire to strengthen the relationship between museums and people. While these passions remain close to my heart, I am profoundly moved by how much I have learned along the way. As I learn, I try to adapt my thinking accordingly and integrate new strategies into how we do our work—always with the goal of improving our firm’s practice so we can help museums make a difference in people’s lives.
To our museum partners over the last twenty years, and to the thousands of visitors who have shared their experiences with us; thank you for enriching our lives and inviting us into your museums to pursue our passions. – Randi Korn
